José Del Cueto

President and founder of Del Cueto Marketing Group

During the early 1980’s Jose Del Cueto started his career in Puerto Rico’s advertising industry catering to clients such as Lever Brothers, General Foods, Nestle Libby’s, Reynolds Tobacco Co., Seagram’s and Procter & Gamble.

By 1983 he was working in Miami in the National Sales & Promotional department of Channel 23, owned by Spanish International Networks (SIN) what is known today as Univision.  In 1987 he migrated from the local television station to the network sales group and was tasked with the responsibility of taking “Sabado Gigante” a Chilean production hosted by “Don Francisco” to national clients and thus marked the creation of the largest revenue producing program for the Univision Holdings Group.  In 1990 he was promoted to VP Domestic Productions and all Sales and Marketing responsibilities of all US produced network shows airing in the U.S. and Latin America.

In 1992 Jose accepted an offer made by

competing Telemundo to come in as Senior VP-National Sales and with his team managed to increase Telemundo’s national ad share by 50%, creating the single largest revenue increase in its history.  He then continued in 1993 to open up the international division with program distribution in over 15 countries and the creation of the International News Network, Telenoticias.

Jose left the corporate world in 1994 to form his own company, TransAmerica Media Group, Inc., where he offered full service media solutions to clients such as:  Siemmens, Texaco, BellSouth, BellSouth Yellow Pages, ESPN, Taca Airlines,  Heineken, Alberto Culver, Hanes, Exxon Mobil, and others.

In 2002 the company re-organized with new partners under Del Cueto Marketing Group, Inc., and continues to offer clients custom tailored media and marketing solutions within the fragmented multi-media landscape that is in continuous evolvement presenting new and unique opportunities for clients and member agencies.

Today, Del Cueto Marketing Group, Inc. has grown to service national and international clients such as DirecTV Mas, DirecTV Latin America, Claritin, Pfizer, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Subway, among others.
